Wylie Water Treatment Plant II Structural and Mechanical Improvements– Phase II S-08 and S-09

RAVA has been awarded two packages for the Wylie Water Treatment Plant II Structural and Mechanical Improvements– Phase II Projects S-08 and S-09 by MWH Constructors, construction managers for the North

Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD.) The projects, located in Wylie, TX, have a value of approximately $12.5 million.

Package S-08: Clearwell 3-1

The S-08 contract includes the demolition and structural rehabilitation of Clearwell 3-1. RAVA will be replacing the 240-foot diameter concrete dome to comply with new standards, providing interim bypass / mechanical work, installing new mechanical components, and installing 10,000 sq. feet of FRP baffle walls. Work begins in October of 2022, with an estimated completion date of April 15th, 2024.

Package S-09: Filter & Settled Water Flume

The S-09 contract includes demolition of existing expansion joints, repairs, and improvements for Filter 20-21 and Settled Water Flume at WTP II. This work includes 1) construction joints between filters, 2) replacement of sections of wall and roof in the filter galleries, 3) removal and replacement of the new filter underdrains and filter media, and 4) relocation of wash water troughs and backwash flume.

The project has a complex phasing plan, with work beginning November of 2022, and estimated completion date in January of 2024.

Wylie Water Treatment Plant II Structural and Mechanical Improvements– Phase I Project

RAVA was awarded the Wylie Water Treatment Plant II Structural and Mechanical Improvements- Phase I Project in Collin County by MWH Constructors, construction managers for the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD.) The project, located in Wylie, TX has a subcontract worth of approximately $12.74 Million.

The contract includes the demolition and structural rehabilitation of Clearwells 2-3 and 2-4. RAVA will be replacing two 240-foot diameter concrete domes to comply with new standards, providing interim bypass/ mechanical work, installing new mechanical components, and installing 35,000 sq. feet of FRP baffle walls.

The project has a complex phasing plan with the construction of the first Clearwell in 2022 and the second in 2023. The project will begin work November 1st, 2021, with projected completion March 31st, 2024.

249 NHCRWA SH 249 Pump Station

RAVA has been awarded the Buildings Package for the NHCRWA SH249 Pump Station project by prime contractor Five Companies. The project, located in North Houston, has a subcontract value of approximately $6.6 Million; and is part of an overall project valued at $102 Million.

The project includes the construction of four new masonry and precast concrete buildings including the pump building, maintenance building, bulk storage building and electrical building. The buildings have a robust design that is intended to withstand both hurricane and seismic loads; and to ensure a long-life cycle for all the building components. The overall facility will pump drinking water from the new Houston Northeast Water Plant to additional NHCRWA service areas adjacent to the facility location near the intersection of SH249 and Beltway 8.

The project has an accelerated schedule with the RAVA portion of work to be completed at the end of 2022.

Chemical Feed and Disinfection Buildings at Northwest Water Facility (NWWF) in Wichita, Kansas

RAVA has begun work on the construction of the Chemical Feed and Disinfection Buildings at the Northwest Water Facility (NWWF) in Wichita, Kansas. RAVA, in collaboration with local partner Q-D Construction Services, was awarded a Tier 1 contract under the CMAR delivery method by Wichita Water Partners (WWP). WWP, a joint venture of Alberici and Burns & McDonnell, serves as the overall Design-Builder for the state of the art 120 MGD facility for the City of Wichita. CSISD Southwood Valley Elementary School Renovations

RAVA has been awarded the prime contract for the Southwood Valley Elementary School Renovations project by the College Station Independent School District (CSISD). The project, located at 2700 Brothers Blvd in College Station, has a contract value of approximately $3.25 Million. VLK Architects office in Houston was the designer for CSISD.

The project scope includes the renovation of a 22,500 sf wing of the existing Southwood Valley ES. The work elements include significant Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing upgrades; existing masonry façade and fencing enhancements; and interior architectural finish renovations including new millwork, drywall, doors, glass, ceiling tile and flooring. The elementary school serves nearly 600 students within the highly rated CSISD. The project is scheduled to complete during the 2022 summer break for students.

Members of the RAVA team have worked on CSISD projects for nearly 15 years on numerous successful projects. RAVA has been a proud supporter of the CSISD Education Foundation participating as a sponsor of both scholarships and the annual 50 Men Who Can Cook Event.

CSISD Southwood Valley Elementary School Renovations–PH 2

RAVA has been awarded the prime contract for the Southwood Valley Elementary School, Phase 2 Renovations Project by College Station Independent School District (CSISD). The project, located at 2700 Brothers Blvd in College Station, has a contract value of approximately $3.4 Million, and will provide further renovations to the school serving nearly 600 students within the highly rated CSISD. RAVA will work in conjunction with designer VLK Architects’ Houston office to complete these summer renovations prior to return of students in the fall.

The project scope includes the renovation of a 49,500 square foot wing of the existing Southwood Valley Elementary School. The work elements include HVAC, electrical, plumbing, demolition, fire sprinklers, and interior finishes. The project is scheduled to complete in early August 2023.

Tarrant County Water Supply Project

RAVA Construction, LLC has been awarded the Tarrant County Water Supply Filter Rehabilitation and Improvements Project by the Trinity River Water Authority of Texas. The project, located in Euless, TX, has a value of approximately $32.2 Million.

The contract includes rehabilitation of an 87 MGD water treatment plant regionally providing treated water service to a population of approximately 245,000. RAVA will rehabilitate the existing 24 dual media filters; replace underdrains, media, and wash troughs; and construct a new chlorine contact basin.  Likewise, the project includes structural work, improvements to the filter gallery, Plant Control System upgrades, instrumentation and SCADA modifications, replacement of Caustic Feed Pumps, construction of chemical containment trenches, and installation of new chemical piping at various locations throughout the plant site.

Work begins in February 2023, with an estimated completion date of July 2025.

CSISD Summer Renovations: A&M Consolidated High School Renovations Ph II and Pebble Creek Elementary School Renovations

RAVA Construction, LLC has been awarded the prime contract for both the A& M Consolidated High School Renovations- Phase II and Pebble Creek Elementary School Renovations by College Station Independent School District (CSISD). The projects, located in College Station, have a combined contract value of over $8M, and will provide further renovations to the two schools serving nearly 2,300 students within the highly rated CSISD. RAVA will work in conjunction with  VLK Architects’ Houston office to complete these summer renovations prior to return of students in the fall.

The project scopes include the renovation of the approximately 140,000 square feet of the existing A&M Consolidated High School, and approximately 59,000 of the existing Pebble Creek Elementary School. The work elements include mechanical, electrical, and plumbing along with general interior renovations. The projects are scheduled to complete in early August 2023.

RAVA Awarded $8M in College Station ISD Summer Renovations

RAVA Construction, LLC has been awarded the prime contract for the Security Vestibules, Cypress Groves Intermediate School Renovations, and A&M Consolidated High School Renovations(AMCHS)- Phase III projects by College Station Independent School District (CSISD). The projects, located in College Station, Texas, have a contract value of roughly $8M, and are part of a renovation project of the existing security vestibules, and educational spaces throughout AMCHS and Cypress Groves campuses. RAVA successfully completed Summer Renovations for CSISD in 2023, and will again work in conjunction with  VLK Architects’ Houston office to complete these summer renovations prior to return of students in the fall of 2024.
The project scope involves the renovation of the approximately 200,000 square feet of the existing schools. The work elements include demolition of interior architectural components such as flooring, ceilings, millwork, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC fixtures and replacing with new. The projects are scheduled to complete in early August 2024.
